Digging a thin layer deeper, NewsBruiser's options.conf has this snippet
-------------------------------
option=robot-index-granularity
...
values=year,month,day,entry,none
...
default=month
-------------------------------
and over-riding the default from "month" to "entry" would keep me
happy. Skimming the source, you do this in a global .nbrc file or
per-notebook .configuration file somewhere. Which one you do depends
on the version of Newsbruiser you're running. Or you could just hack
the "default=month" line in options.conf.
