Whilst it looks great, I maintain that we should hold usability, a11y and
standards in very high regard as we put the new website in place. Links are
blue or red if you've visited them, and always have underlines. If something
has an underline that is not a link, it is confusing. I think this applies
in the reverse, too.

They're meant to do that, but it does look a little bit arse. If you can
figure out how to clear below the image without affecting the flow of the
text (ie. it can't use tables, because a table wouldn't flow around any
floating images), please let me know!
