Well, anyone would vote that internationalization is important. I think
you're right, though: there's too much thought going into this at this
point. We all seem to agree on two things:
1. Internationalization of the GNOME web site is important, and
2. We need to keep that in mind when making other decisions.
Let's not worry about implementation at this point: the text link(s) vs.
selection box debate is pointless at this point. Let's focus on more
important issues such as how are we going to organize the site? There was a
post (link:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-web-list/2000-November/msg00207.html)
regarding organization, and that's what the focus should be on. How can we
further refine the outline suggested by Shawn? Here's a copy-and-paste:

as an example and starting point.)"
Alright, I see nothing wrong w/ this general organization. How can it be
made more specific, or does it even need to be any more specific?

I think we are thinking too much, what I purpose is a voting booth so the
users, the ones for who we are disigning this site, decide HOW IMPORTANT is
the internationalization, it's important NO ONE have said that it is not,
it's just that no matter if we, or someone else, translate it to all the
thosands of languages that exist on the planet, the most important is the
ORGANISATION and we are not talking so much about it, thanks to Christian.
That's what I think, and if someone still want to discuss on what part of
the front page the option whould be, or on what color, then tell me when you
finish. I think there are more important things to do.
PD. Just a comment Christian Rose, I think your comments are too big.
