All the changes would be to openssh though. Probably a first step is 
just ask on the openssh mailing list.

You're supposed to use dbus_get_local_machine_id():

Also there's a method on the bus to get the uuid of the bus's machine, 
iirc. Or maybe it's a general method on any peer. don't remember.
