Compile errors while building gnome-vfs 2.5.8

Hello list,

I'm experiencing a build problem when building gnome-vfs 2.5.8. I'm
using cvsgnome which sets all library paths and etc. the right way. GCC
3.3.3.

I heard more people are experiencing this same problem, but I couldn't
find a solution on either Google or in the archives of this list.

Is this due to an API break somewhere or just a misconfiguration of my
system?
