Hi!

I fear I introduced this while re-writing the http module druing 2.7.x. 
I think the new behaviour is the saner than the old one, isn't it? I 
don't think this is documented anywhere because I didn't do it and I 
don't think anybody else did ;)

I am not sure there is any API call to get the version of gnome-vfs but 
you can of course use "pkg-config --modversion gnome-vfs-2.0".
