Most mp3 players (and this is a guess, I haven't done a sample) work
well with the USB mass storage driver. Very few actually do their own
protocol. Even the iriver devices the older ones can be reprogramed to
use the mass storage driver.
It's possible I suppose to make a generic version, but as far as I know
the iriver is the only one that has it's own protocol.
BTW there is a library for iriver, I didn't use it because I didn't
want to add it as a dependency since the code ws simple enough
to redo.
