gnome-vfs-daemon & dns-sd

Hi all, I'm trying to write a daap module for gnome-vfs but am stuck on
something as simple as installing it.  Is there a way to install it and
tell the gnome-vfs-daemon to load/reload the module?  Or does it
automatically detect changes to the module directory and load the
changes?

Secondly, the dns-sd module doesn't work with howl-0.9.6, but I
assume(?) this is going to be worked on with Alexander Larsson when he
returns from vacation.  Is the dns-sd module on schedule to be released
with Gnome 2.8?
