It won't be possible to add it to gnome-vfs in the short term since
GNOME is feature frozen (until january) to prepare the 2.2 release.
However, you should send your method to this list (or put it somewhere
online if it's too big) so that people can have a look at it, if they
like it, the best place to put it will be bugzilla.gnome.org so that
it's not forgotten :)
