Hi All,
I hope this is the right mailing list, according to the website it
appears to be.
Anyway, I was playing around with the window shadow effect in compiz and
thought a fun applet might be one that changed the shadow on the window
to follow the sun.
The shadow only works between the hours of 6am and 6pm (localtime) right
now and moves from left to right as the sun would go across your screen
from right to left. I'm sure it could be improved with getting the
actual sunrise and sunset for your location (I thought about adding this
to gweather).
I know it is NOT up to any coding standards and I basically built this
off of the grandr code. So enjoy, feedback is appreciated. This is my
first gnome applet or gnome anything so bare that in mind when trashing
it. ;)
Get it from:
http://dekorte.homeip.net/download/gshade-0.1.tar.gz
It requires compiz to be the window manager and the decoration plugin to
be active.
