Re: telling X to use gnome



neither of those files exist. I created both of them and put what you said in them but it still doesn't work. whan running at level 5 does init run startx or gdm to start up the graphical interface. gnome still does not appear in the sessions list.

put:
DESKTOP=GNOME
in /etc/sysconfig/desktop

FWIW, if you selected GNOME in GDM, you probably forgot to install the
GNOME desktop.

In any case, gnome-uk-list isn't a support mailing-list, you'll want to
try the CentOS or Elastix forums or mailing-lists instead.
