Thanks for doing this Luca. It was on my todo list, but last time I  
tried it didn't look that good. I suspect there will need to be some  
changes to the engine to improve the gradients. However, I will have a  
go with your gtkrc and check the results.

I've filed a bug for this issue in bugzilla (bug 399097  
<http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399097>, where we can  
discuss progress.
