This email is just a copy of bug #144039
-------------
g-i-t currently lacks icons for network devices. Actually those icons
are needed only by gnome-system-tools and gnome-nettool. Both those
programs don't use g-t-i, but provide icons themselves.
Network devices are
1. ppp
2. ethernet
3. loopback
4. plip
5. wavelan
6. irda
so the icons to add to g-i-t should be named gnome-dev-* (and placed
under device directory) or stock_device-* (and placed under stock/net)
directory. IMHO the first choice is the proper one.
-----------------------------
Current availability is
ppp:
generic/stock_landline-phone (16, 24, 32 and 48 px)
ethernet:
gnome-system-tools/pixmap/[connection-ethernet.png,16_ethernet.xmp]
loopback:
generic/stock_refresh or media/stock_repeat (24 and 16 px both)
plip:
g-s-t/pixmaps/[plip-48.png,16_plip.xmp]
wavelan:
g-s-t/pixmaps/wavelan-[16,48].png
irda:
g-s-t/pixmaps/irda-[16,48].png (not so gnomish :-()
