Hi,
I am experiencing the problem described in the subject for some
time. When the computer reboots, I can see the message "Installing
updates; this could take a while...", but the installation doesn't
happen.

I have found something that seems related, such as

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1492036

(btw it's regarding system upgrade, but I am getting problems while
trying to update the proposed packages), tried some of the workarounds
but didn't help.

Could anyone help me please? Is it worth me to file a bug?

Running gnome-software 3.24.3 on Fedora 26

I attach some relevant (?) part of journalctl

Looks like packagekitd is happily performing the update and then dnf
offline updater kicks in and decides to reboot in the middle of that:

dic 13 09:39:49 angus.unipv.it pk-offline-update[672]: percentage 6%
dic 13 09:39:49 angus.unipv.it dnf[674]: Error: use 'dnf system-upgrade
reboot' to begin the upgrade

dic 13 09:39:49 angus.unipv.it systemd[1]: Failed to start System
Upgrade using DNF.

Probably the same as https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1519543
