| Sorry for the late report! So far we have discussed how to implement the new application-aware window management features using window properties. We had to revise the design a couple times to allow flexibility in the menu structure while working withing the constraints of the window property spec. Marina had some good ideas about appending tags to the window elements to make it easier for users to search for tabs or other menu items. I have also been figuring out how the code for Mutter works, which has taken some time, but think I understand it reasonably well now. So far, much of the work has been planning, but I have started coding the internal data structures for the new menus and have hooked into the window properties signaling code. I hope to have the window properties functions written by the end of next week and begin working with the Firefox codebase for testing the api. David |
