Conduit & Mobile Devices - Week 2

Hey,

Last week I managed to use PyBindgen to (semi) automatically generated
compilable, sensible python bindings to the whole[1] of libsyncml. My
tasks this week are
 * Write the necessary glue code to be able to use python callbacks
with libsyncml
 * Write glue code allowing one to pass a specific
pygobject.MainContext/MainLoop to pylibsyncml and have it use that, or
pick up the default gmainloop/context.
 * Port some of the syncml unit tests to python, and test parts of the library.

I also purchased a windows mobile phone, and was able to successfully
test the integration work that John Carr had done. I anticipate being
able to continue work on that topic this week. Conduit is already able
to recognize the connection of a wm phone, and show it in the conduit
UI. We can also put/get notes/tasks/contacts and calendar items
to/from the device.

I also spent some time polishing the conduit UI, removing unnecessary
configuration options to make Conduit on maemo a more pleasant
experience.

My windows mobile/synce work will continue to go into svn trunk. My
syncml work is currently living at

bzr branch http://www.johnstowers.co.nz/bzr/wrap-syncml/

John

[1] excluding those functions which require callbacks, which obviously
is my priority to fix
