Hello.
I dont know if this is the right place. Please let me know if i should go somewhere else with this question.
i wrote a script that modifies the wallpaper image and then changes the result with gsettings.
the result is that the wallpaper is changed but the transition animation is a white flash. (fade out to white the old background, fade in from white the new background).
This is not very smooth.
When i change the background with the desktop background app. the transition is a crossfade between the old and the new wallpaper.
Is this intended?
The command line used to switch the wallpaper is:
$ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background picture-uri file:///path/to/a/wallpaper.png
