Hello,
i'm unsure if this is the right forum, i'm sorry for that. Maybe some one here
can give me a better location/link where to post feature requests/ideas for
gnome-shell. First of all i would like to say that i really like gnome ways
better that kde, unity, xfce ... but that's a personal thing i don't want to
discuss here.
I just got two ideas for an improvement of gnome-shell:
* In overview mode it would be very nice and intuitive to use tab for selecting
an active window and enter for leaving overview mode with this actual focused
window (likewise to the behaviour using the mouse, pointing and clicking).
* In application (search) mode it would be nice to have hovering. E.g. the name
of the applications is too long to be displayed completely. This makes it
sometime hard to choose which icon to click. Especially if the icons and the
displayed part of text are similar (worst case) it's unclear which icon is the
correct one.
Maybe i have a look in writing gnome-shell extensions and check if i could do it
by myself. But i'm running out of time and wanted to cleave it somewhere ...
thanx for reading this,
cheerz x
