Running GNOME 3 on openSUSE 11.4 using the repo; it is working pretty
well.

that't also what i am considering at the moment: dumping ubuntu and moving over to opensuse. tht way i can get a rolling distribution (tumbleweed), and a working gnome-shell at the same time. 

don't know if i should wait for linux mint 11, they say it will have gnome3 integration, and the shell installable from repo.
