alt key feature request

i have been looking around in dconf-editor and "region and language" 
option screen for a feature that was called "movement key" under gnome 
2... - the description was "to move a window, press and hold this key 
then grab the window: Alt / Super". i need the old fashioned alt key 
behavior back to be able to work with autodesk's maya / mudbox in gnome 
shell.
