Are you building from the gnome-shell jhbuild moduleset (as opposed to
the "main" jhbuild moduleset)? The gnome-shell moduleset passes
"--enable-jhbuild-wrapper-script" to autogen.sh, which adds a wrapper
around the gnome-shell binary to deal with various paths-to-things like
gsettings schemas, but the non-gnome-shell moduleset doesn't, and so
will probably have problems like this.
