compile success but can't run gnome-shell

Dear ALL

I follow the web page for gnome-shell
and I success compile gnome-shell with normal user

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/max/gnome-shell/source/gnome-power-manager'
*** success *** [33/33]

When I follow the web page to run gnome-shell

I got some error message there

./gnome-shell --replace

/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/dbus/connection.py:242:

Could any one teach me how to resolve it ^^
