Missing the Gnome-shell experience

Its been about a week or more since I ran Gnome-shell. The reason being that I cannot get it to compile along with the rest of gnome3. Please, does anyone know how to get all of gnome3 and gnome-shell to compile with Jhbuild?

I get errors about a missing glib.h and that prevents about 200 or more modules from compiling.
