Hi

Is there any chance that you could implement changing
desktops/workspaces via scrolling with the mouse wheel on the desktop?

This feature is available in gnome via compiz, natively in kde and xfce.

For me, it is by far the fastest way to scroll/move from one desktop to
the next.

Thanks
I'd like to see this too. I agree it would probably be best to be an
option that is disabled by default, so it doesn't confuse users who
don't want it.

I can see this working as an option, since many power-users use this and love it. A simple checkbox to turn this feature on and off could be implemented, and if it's on it could ask with radio buttons to decide whether or not you want vertical or horizontal scrolling (both maybe?). Those with trackpads/horizontally-scrolling mice as well as those with vertical scrolling could switch desktops by scrolling this way. Sorry, I can't make a mock-up now since I'm not sure of the technique to do so, but I wish I could.
