Hey guys,
I installed Mono.
I think It ate Nautilus - which now doesn't draw the desktop, or pop up
a window when I go to browse my filesystem. Although I can see the
process...
mikem 2964 0.0 1.7 32492 8836 ? Ss 13:38 0:00 nautilus
--no-default-window --sm-client-id default3
I uninstalled Mono, and every package including the word 'ximian',
reverting back to Fedora Core 3 beta packages. All my dependencies are
met (I'm a contractor for RH in .au and don't do stupid things like --
nodeps).
But Nautilus still doesn't work - same symptoms as above. If I killall
Nautilus and 'strace nautilus' it gives the following:
connect(23, {sa_family=AF_FILE, path="/tmp/orbit-mikem/linc-dc7-0-
7d38faf2330d7"}, 44) = 0
write(20, "A", 1) = 1
writev(23, [{"GIOP\1\2\1\0\224\1\0\0", 12}, {"\340\355\377\376\3\0\0\0\0
\0\0\0\34\0\0\0\0\0\0\0q\230"..., 404}], 2) = 416
futex(0x8107534, FUTEX_WAIT, 3, NULL) = 0
futex(0x8107530, FUTEX_WAIT, 2, NULL) = 0
futex(0x8107530, FUTEX_WAKE, 1) = 0
futex(0x8107510, FUTEX_WAKE, 1) = 0
writev(23, [{"GIOP\1\2\1\0\234\1\0\0", 12}, {"`\356\377\376\3\0\0\0\0\0
\0\0\34\0\0\0\0\0\0\0q\230H\350"..., 412}], 2) = 424
futex(0x8107534, FUTEX_WAIT, 5, NULL) = 0
futex(0x8107510, FUTEX_WAKE, 1) = 0
futex(0x810713c, FUTEX_WAIT, 1, NULL
(pauses there forever).
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
