Re: <Windows> Key + Red Hat 7.3?

I just find it odd that it *used* to work, but now it doesn't. Seems
like a regression in functionality.

Though I've found that it didn't work in any of the computer labs at
school, and I always found that annoying....

I'll have to submit this to RedHat Bugzilla, then...

Thanks,
 - Jon

I believe this is a bug in the GNOME 2 keyboard shortcuts applet.

(It can't handle modifiers that GTK+ doesn't handle normally, and
GTK+ only deals with the "common" modifiers... of course, the
shortcut capplet would then need to distinguish betwen locations
where it could support the extra modifiers, and where it can't.)

    See:

     http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83334

(It was sitting in GNOME bugzilla as a GTK+ API request, but most of
the functionality could be achieved without the GTK+ addition, so I've
filed a separate GTK+ bug and moved it back to control-center.)

If you care strongly about this, you might want to file a Red Hat
bugzilla bug so we remember to at least evaluate how much work it
would take to fix the issue.

    Regards,
                                            Owen
