One of the main components that could be useful is the camel api.
Currently. Gnome is in lack of a good mailer API ( as far as I know).
Most mail clients implement their own and it seems there is a lot of
reinventing the wheel here.
The Camel API seems to have what is required i.e abstraction layer to a
store. providers etc.
