Hey All,

I am Sumantro from Bangalore,India [UTC+5:30] currently working for Red Hat (Fedora QA Team).
I have been contributing to Open Source for some time now and I would like to get started with Gnome QA.
It will be very helpful if someone can point me to any resource to which can get me started.

Welcome!  Actually, we do have an outstanding project that we could use a QA person.  We have long needed a way to QA the GNOME extensions using openQA.  We want to make sure that each extension works in every new release.  Ideally, we would want to hook this up to Gitlab +  openQA and that with every release of gnome-shell/mutter we do a test on the extensions and see which one broke and then send something to the maintainer.

The project is a bit complex because we might need to dictate that GNOME extensions either be on GNOME gitlab or possibly need to pull from Github/Gitlab or something else.  But I can help you project manage this if you're willing to put the work in.

Thanks for volunteering!  Really appreciate it.  You can talk with Adam Williamson he's a Red Hat QA person and he's been working with openQA.

If this is a little more involved than you're looking for we can look at working with Gitlab CI pipelines and possibly a bridge with openQA whatever it is, we really need to figure out how to integrate openQA with GNOME.

Thanks so much!

Thanks
