[Gnome-print] installation problem on Irix6.5.5

Hello,

I tried to do an install of gnome on an SGI running Irix6.5.5. I used the
Irix installation packages in stable/irix until I came to gnome-print, and
found that a package wasn't there. I downloaded gnome-print-0.18.tar.gz. I
built it using:

./configure --disable-nls --prefix=/usr/freeware (it wouldn't
compile until I used --disable-nls; /usr/freeware appears to be where the
Irix installation packages put everything else)

make

make install

The make install complained about fonts, and www.levien.com suggested I do
the following:

./gnome-font-install --system --scan --no-copy
--afm-path=/usr/freeware/share/fonts/afms
--pfb-assignment=ghostscript,/usrfreeware/share/fonts/URW fonts/

Now testprint prints a test page successfully (or at least it prints
something that looks reasonable).

My problem now is that while I'm trying to install gnumeric, it doesn't
think gnome-print is installed. I've tried both the Irix installation
package from stable/irix and I've tried the tarball. The tarball fails
while running configure: it says that gnome-print isn't installed. The Irix
installation package complains about gnome-print as a missing dependency.

Can anyone see if I've done anything wrong with my gnome-print install?

Thanks,

Jon Scott
