Yes you are on the right track. You should be able to use the full path. I just looked and the hald_runner only has the following in its $PATH /usr/libexec:/usr/share/hal/scripts, so you could either specify a full path or just symblink whatever into /usr/libexec or /usr/share/hal/scripts.
Hm, ah, okay, if that's the case, then I might continue my quest :)
If I do anything wrong - how do I recover? Is there a way to make
hal reset to the shipped defaults?
