Gnome pilot has stopped working

Hi, I recently updated some packages a couple of weeks ago (soup,
libbonobo, evolution-data-server, etc.) and now gnome pilot doesn't
work. (I reinstalled gnome-pilot after doing the upgrades, but it still
doesn't work.)

When I push the hot sync button, this kind of stuff appears in the log:

The usb devices are owned by root:uucp with perms 660, and I am a member
of the uucp group. 

Gnome pilot apparently sees the Palm, but doesn't do anything.

There are many more lines line these (Found ... Using...) but nothing
else. Then the palm times out.
