Some devices have an OS bug that means you have to reverse the octets in
the IP address when net syncing (192.168.0.1 ==> 1.0.168.192).
Also (I believe) there are also two styles of net syncing, that controls
how host name resolution is done, either with a UDP or TCP startup.
gnome-pilot expects one style; there's a patch from last November to
switch styles, which may or may not apply to current CVS.
