Treo 650, Jpilot works Gpilot not

Hello,

I've got a Treo-650 and am trying to get it to sync to evolution.
I can't get it to work.
The Treo is connected on /dev/ttyUSB1 and J-pilot synchronizes
perfectly however with gpilot the Treo hotsync just times-out.

I've tried starting gpilotd from the commandline and when I press the
hotsync button I get the following :
