To see the output from gpilotd:
Open a terminal window.
At the prompt, type 'su' and return.  Enter the password to become
superuser.
Now do: 'killall gpilotd'
And then: '/usr/libexec/gpilotd'


Now try and sync, and you should get the output in the terminal window.
