Gnome-Pilot freezes USB Mouse

I'm having the problem with gnome-pilot that it seems to cause my USB
mouse to freeze.  I have a Sony Clie SJ22 and am connecting to a fully
updated Fedora computer via a USB cable.  I can use pilot-link without
this happening, but as soon as I start the gnome-pilot panel applet, the
mouse (a microsoft intellimouse explorer) freezes.

I've attached a log of /var/log/messages which hopefully shows the
problem.  As soon as the applet starts, i get the first line.  Then what
happens is, I tried hitting the hotsync button on the clie, which timed
out.  Then, I hit the hotsync button again, and the clie synced itself
with evolution.

I can kill gpilotd and then unplug and plug back in my mouse, but it
never comes back.  Any advice someone can give would be appreciated.
