Hello,
I have a new Palm Tungsten T5, which seems to work with pilot-link, but
not with gnome-pilot.
The pilot setup "wizard" times out.
I am using Fedora FC3 (gnome-pilot-2.0.12-4, pilot-link-0.11.8-8)
(I recompiled the kernel, which is therefore: 2.6.9-prep)
I suspect the problem is related to the fact that when you hit the sync
button, the USB devices (/dev/ttyUSB*) get removed/recreated. (something
to do with udev/hotplug).
When I power on the PDA, the kernel detects the device: this is an
extract of /var/log/messages at the moment I power on the PDA:
----------------------------------
Dec 10 18:18:25 localhost kernel: usb 1-1: new full speed USB device

Dec 10 18:18:30 localhost usb.agent[20274]: Setup 0x00 0x00 for USB

Whenever I press hot-sync button this happens:
-----------------------------------

Dec 10 18:21:16 localhost usb.agent[20458]: Setup 0x00 0x00 for USB

-----------------------------------
To get it to work with pilot-link, I have to run the programs a couple
of seconds after hitting the hotsync button, otherwise it doesn't work.
The commands I've tried are:
pilot-xfer --port /dev/ttyUSB1 --list
read-todos -p /dev/ttyUSB1
dlpsh -p /dev/ttyUSB1
They all seem to work (but gpilotd must not be running for them to
work).
Any ideas?
Thx
