All,
I've followed the "syncing with Treo" on the archive but
didn't see a real solution. I'm observing the same thing,
(on redhat 2.4.18), namely
Jan 28 09:02:34 d156-228 kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus4/1, assigned device number 14
Jan 28 09:02:34 d156-228 kernel: usbserial.c: Handspring Visor converter detected
Jan 28 09:02:34 d156-228 kernel: visor.c: Handspring Visor: Number of ports: 2
Jan 28 09:02:34 d156-228 kernel: visor.c: Handspring Visor: port 1, is for Generic use and is bound to ttyUSB0
Jan 28 09:02:34 d156-228 kernel: visor.c: Handspring Visor: port 2, is for HotSync use and is bound to ttyUSB1
Jan 28 09:02:34 d156-228 kernel: usbserial.c: Handspring Visor converter now attached to ttyUSB0 (or usb/tts/0 for devfs)
Jan 28 09:02:34 d156-228 kernel: usbserial.c: Handspring Visor converter now attached to ttyUSB1 (or usb/tts/1 for devfs)
Jan 28 09:02:37 d156-228 /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: Setup visor for USB product 82d/100/100
Jan 28 09:02:39 d156-228 kernel: usb.c: USB disconnect on device 14
Jan 28 09:02:39 d156-228 kernel: usbserial.c: Handspring Visor converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0
Jan 28 09:02:39 d156-228 kernel: usbserial.c: Handspring Visor converter now disconnected from ttyUSB1
Jan 28 09:02:39 d156-228 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-2
I've also tried 'gpilotd-control-applet --cap-id=1' to no effect.
Has anyone gotten this to work?
Thanks,
Dave
