I had similar probs.(MISSINGNAME entry and conduit settings gave the
same form as pilot devices)
It seems to be related to running gnome control-center 1.5
I reverted back to gnome control-center 1.4 and found I could get the
gpilot conduits.(with 1.5 I had no conduit menu).
So with current ximian gnome (but 1.4 control-center)
I still have "MISSINGNAME" entries but gpilot/evolution conduits work.
Personally I dont know if evolution/pilot is better than the system I
had before (pilot-link/scripts and emacs bits), but it does *look*
better. ( a lot better!)
Having a memos conduit would be nice (but just running "memos" and
redirecting to an evolution mbox file is a pretty useable fillin).
