gnomecal conduit doesn't find calendar entries

gnome-pilot(0.1.55) doesn't find any of the calendar entries that are
stored on my Pilot. It synchronizes the address book and memos and
backups correctly, and seems to register a successful GnomeCal
synchronization, only it reports that no entries were found.
Can anyone suggest a solution? A copy of the gpilotd session is below.
