If you're doing a GnomePilotConduitStandard, you don't want
to open a socket, since the socket is already open when
the conduit code is called.

The conduit should implement one or more of the methods in
gnome-pilot-conduit-standard.gob / connect to the signal,
and use the (int)pilot_socket field as the file descriptor.
