/dev/ttyS0 ownership and permissions

All,
I did have problems on RH7.1 to sync my palm. Owner of ttyS0 was root
with mode 660.
There is an easy way to give any console-user permissions for devices on
login.
Edit as super-user file /etc/security/console.perms
1.) add the device class (in this case the class has only one instance)
<ttyS0>=/dev/ttyS0
2.) define persmissions for this device
<console> 0660 <ttyS0> 0660 root
That will change ownership to console-user on login (with permissions
0660)
and will revert ownership and permissions on logout.
