or maybe backupdir/* for the current one, and backupdir/0/* to
backupdir/(i-1)/* where i is the # of backups to be kept.
ie
backupdir/
backupdir/0
backupdir/1
backupdir/2
backupdir/3
backupdir/4
for 5 levels of backup after the current.
??
btw; ill do this unless anyone else has a pressing desire to do it.
