10000 memos? Memo problem found?

It appears that memos are being constantly dumped into a dir:

I had disabled memo_conduit eariler. Taht's why removing the file worked.

There are 9700 memos in GnomePilot/unfiled

It seems like it is creating backups of backups.

If you look, Powertips is form on first synch, then .2, then .3 and .4
I think it is backing itself up!

So one more time I should get .5 .6 .7 .8?

Sure enough!

my memo conduit file:

[zot@mp zot]$ less .gnome/gnome-pilot.d/memo_file-conduit

[Pilot_500]
open secret=false
secret mode=0600
file mode=0600
dir mode=0700
dir=/home/zot/GnomePilot/memos
ignore end=
ignore start=

[zot@mp zot]$ rpm -qa | grep gnome
gnome-audio-1.0.0-6
gnome-audio-extra-1.0.0-6
gnome-core-devel-1.0.54-2
gnome-libs-1.0.54-1
gnome-linuxconf-0.22-1
gnome-objc-1.0.2-4
gnome-objc-devel-1.0.2-4
gnome-users-guide-1.0.5-4rh
gnome-pim-conduits-1.1.3-1
switchdesk-gnome-1.7.0-1
gnome-media-1.0.51-2
gnome-games-1.0.51-3
gnome-utils-1.0.50-1
gnome-pim-1.1.3-1
gnome-core-1.0.54-2
gnome-libs-devel-1.0.54-1
gnome-pilot-0.1.48-1

So the conduit was not locking up. My superfast drive was taking
forever to open a few thousand files....
