That's what I thought, but wanted to make sure. I've commited this
change to memo_file and another minor fix.

Folks, I'll really appreciated if you try out the latest memo_file
conduit (from CVS or forthcoming release) and report any problems or
suggestions. At this point I have no outstanding bug reports with it,
and that's very boring :)  

Feature requests are also welcomed.
