[GNOME-my]Hey everybody -> FreeBSD/Gnome 2.5.1 Updates

Hey everybody, just joined the list.

FYI, I'm helping out with the Gnome2 porting/debugging effort on
FreeBSD. So I'm already running Gnome 2.5.1 and struggling with the very
bug ridden Evo 1.5.0.

For normal Gnome issues on FreeBSD, feel free to drop a line. I should
be able to help with most issues when installing/upgrading from ports.

I'll post an update now and then, with the latest news. A preliminary
screenshot of Gnome 2.5 is available at:

Major changes are Nautilus.. quite different way of accessing folders,
really reminds me of BeOS without the browse feature. Ie. you keep
opening folders, and you choose with shortcuts to keep opening new
subfolder windows or parent folders. Also shortcut keys to clear up
windows also. This makes it much quicker, but I dunno. Folder browsing
is something that everybody is used to.

Overall speed is also quicker, and i18n is top notch with even more
gtk im modules making it in.

As for evo 1.5. Some great new features, such as integrated spamassasin
and an updated ui. However, I really recommend waiting for 1.5.1 which
is probably delayed until January. Right now a lot of show stopper bugs,
which make it almost unusable.

I'll drop by and post and update now and the then.
