For those who are not subscribed to many other mailing lists, have a
read of the recent announcement of Yelp 2.5.0.

http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-announce-list/2003-December/msg00008.html

This announcement includes a number of cries for assistance that may
interest somebody looking to roll up their sleeves and get involved.
Most of the jobs are not of a trivial nature, but they are not
insurmountable and just involve spending a bit of time staring at the
code and trying things out.

Skill sets which could be of use:
        - GTK+ programming in C
        - XSLT
        - Some knowledge of 'man' and 'info' formats (for working on the
        man and info display programs)

If you know something about one or more of these items (or want to
learn), then grab the code (preferably from CVS so that you stay up to
date with others' work) and start poking about. This is a very
end-user-visible project to become involved with.

Cheers,
Malcolm
