Re: [gnome-love] Gnome 3.x HCL question

hi again;

creating a HCL for graphics card support is not entirely a trivial
matter. I can't just tell you "but $BRAND" because in reality there's
a complex, and largely intertwined set of requirements at play:

almost forgot: all of this applies if you're using a pretty recent
version of Mesa and the Linux kernel; in terms of driver support, you
need to have these three components:

  - libdrm
  - mesa
  - kernel

to be as up to date as possible, if you're using any open source driver.

if you're not using Linux as the kernel then I'm very, very sorry, but
you'll be fighting an uphill struggle.

ciao,
