So my suggestion would be to simply use jhbuild, because that is the
buildtool that everybody is using. Then we immediately also test if
jhbuild is working OK.

Yes, starting with jhbuild is certainly easier whenever the goal is
compiling GNOME.

Setup could be very easy to start with: Just a simple cron script that
does a "jhbuild tinderbox" at for example 12AM and 12PM and writes the
output html pages to a webserver.

What do the people from Brussels and others think about this?

We can do much much more; at least I hope so :) See my kind of
announce as answer to Luis. Since then a few hours passed and there
is now enough account support to unleash something here.

See http://jhbuild.bxlug.be/participate and don't hesitate to report
problems.

Great stuff you are doing :-) Some comments/suggestions

1. Why did you change the output format of the jhbuild logs? I prefer
the standard logs of jhbuild (see e.g. attached log) as it only uses one
line per module and because of the colors (green/red) and the one line
per module you immediately can see what went well and what didn't.

2. Did you put your autobuild patch in bugzilla so it can get included
in jhbuild CVS?

Jaap
