Question 5.3 and 3.1 (in that order)
Thank You. configure now works ... but I've got some
problems with qt it seems. Still with pango:
Making all in examples
make[2]: Entering directory
`/home/philippe/Prog/gnome2/pango-1.0.1/examples'
/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link c++ -g -O2 -o
pango-viewer viewer-qt.o ../pango/libpangox-1.0.la
../pango/libpango-1.0.la -L/usr/lib/qt-2.3.0/lib
-lqt
moc_viewer-qt.o
c++ -g -O2 -o pango-viewer viewer-qt.o
moc_viewer-qt.o
../pango/.libs/libpangox-1.0.so
viewer-qt.o: In function
`ViewerPara::ViewerPara(_PangoContext*, QString
const&)':
/usr/lib/qt-2.3.0/include/qarray.h:57: undefined
reference to `QGArray::QGArray()'
<SNIP basically every single method from qt is
undefined>
configure did not complain about my qt not being
suitable. I have /usr/lib/qt-2.3.0 and
/usr/local/qt3
How do I go about fixing this one? Thanks.
ok, I forced it to use /usr/local/qt3 and it compiled.
Problems with licq hinted at a broken qt-2.3.0 package
before anyway.
So, now, with gtk+ compilation I run into this:
checking whether to build gmodulized gdk-pixbuf... yes
checking whether dynamic modules work... yes
checking for TIFFReadScanline in -ltiff... (cached)
yes
checking for tiffio.h... (cached) yes
checking for jpeg_destroy_decompress in -ljpeg... no
configure: warning: *** JPEG loader will not be built
(JPEG library not found) ***
configure: error:
*** Checks for JPEG loader failed. You can build
without it by passing
*** --without-libjpeg to configure but some programs
using GTK+ may
*** not work properly
I can get it to compile with --without-libjpeg. But I
do have a libjpeg as per ldconfig, and there's no
mention of a particular libjpeg in the GIG. How does
it matter if I bypass the libjpeg check? Can it be
fixed?
Rico.
