Hello Chris,
you probably get ignored because those are not the right places. There
is a bug already reported for Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/1582496
If I read that correctly the error is quite generic and can originate
from everywhere. As your log mentions gnome-shell I'd start by debugging
that software:
https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeShell/Debugging
But besides the logs do you actually have an issue? that would greatly help!
Best
Franz

I've been seeing this in my syslog almost all day long - https://pasteb
in.com/PDL9DcyG seems like every place I ask about, Ubuntu-Gnome list,
Ubuntu questions I get ignored. I'm going to log-out and back in to see
if it fixes this. It appears to somehow be tied to anything I do on
the system. System info:
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS
Release: 16.04
Codename: xenial
gdm3:
Installed: 3.18.3-0ubuntu2
Candidate: 3.18.3-0ubuntu2
Version table:
*** 3.18.3-0ubuntu2 500
gnome-shell:
Installed: 3.18.5-0ubuntu0.2
Candidate: 3.18.5-0ubuntu0.2
Version table:
*** 3.18.5-0ubuntu0.2 500
Any ideas on the cause or a fix?
